Bro. Eugene Howard-Associate Pastor
Bro. Eugene Howard has the area of the Christian Education Ministry, as his main duty as Associate Pastor. Bro. Eugene has a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and Philosophy from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY. He also has a Masters of Religious Education Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has been involved in a variety of ministry positions since 1982. These include Pastor, Associate Pastor, Minister of Education and Youth Director. Bro. Eugene has been a full-time minister at Walnut Memorial since 1997.
He is married to Tonya , who is a hairstylist, and they are both natives of the Owensboro area. They have two children, Whitney and Meredith.
As Associate Pastor, Bro. Eugene is striving to keep our focus on Jesus Christ through the teaching of God’s Word, the Bible. It is our authoritative source for all of the ministries at Walnut Memorial. Everything we do is for the purpose of leading people into a walk with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior or to strengthen their present walk with Him. “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (I Cor. 3:11).
