What We Believe
We are a body of believers committed to worshipping and serving Jesus Christ. As a Southern Baptist Church, we join with like-minded Christians in spreading the gospel around the world. We are associated with the Daviess-McClean Association, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention because of their strong cooperation and emphasis on missions. Christ reached out to people of all ages and backgrounds and at Walnut Memorial Baptist Church we desire to do the same.
Our desire is to see you become a devoted follower of Christ by: Loving God. (through knowing Him personally and worshipping Him with other believers) Becoming like Jesus. (through personal Bible study, prayer, and small group involvement) Serving Others. (through a lifestyle of expressing the love of God in practical ways)
We believe that the Word of God is a Holy Spirit-inspired text that is 100% true. We are a God-fearing body, whose sole purpose is to reach the lost for Christ while discipling those who profess a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe the two ordinances of the church are The Lord’s Supper and New Testament Baptism.
